Instrument Calibration Procedure
Issue Date: Jan. 7, 2000
1.0 Equipment used for inspection and testing is identified on CALIB-2001,
the Master Equipment List, which identifies:
type of instrument,
manufacturer,
serial number,
calibration cycle.
2.0 Equipment calibrated by XYZ Co. personnel is recorded on CALIB-2002,
the Individual Instrument Data Sheet.
3.0 Equipment calibrated by outside services requires a data sheet
supplied by the vendor and is maintained
in the Quality Control Department.
4.0 All calibrated equipment is identified with a Calibration sticker, CALIB-2003, indicating
calibration completion date, calibration due date and calibrator's
initials.
*5.0 Any instrument found to be out of specification is removed from service.
6.0 The Quality Manager is notified of nonconforming equipment via CALIB-2004,
"Out of Specification Notice", and is required to make a
final disposition.
